ClassTag Gazette: October 2020
Happy October! Fall breeze, autumn leaves! Or is it stressed, blessed and pumpkin-obsessed? Either way, grab…
Summer is here! We hope you’re relaxing and have had a chance to reflect over a great school year. We also hope you’ve received some well-earned and, hopefully, appreciated teacher gifts from your students. Yes? No? Maybe? Well just in case, we’ve got a gift for you that will put all your mugs, apples and bath products to shame – some incredible new updates on ClassTag!
We are always listening to our users’ feedback and are constantly looking to improve our parent communication app for YOU. So, here are 3 gifts that you actually asked for this year:
As a ClassTag user, you can have two different relationships with a school on the app: a School Leader (admin) or a School Teacher (with a classroom). One of the most important things you’ll do as a ClassTag Leader is to invite teachers to join ClassTag — and now you can invite teachers who don’t yet have a classroom, too! Previously, you were unable to add a teacher to your school without adding their classroom. Now you can add both teachers that HAVE a class on ClassTag and those who do not. In short, we wanted to make it easier to share your favorite parent communication app with everyone at your school.
We know that, as a teacher, time is of the essence and every second counts. And we also know that it’s a real bummer when you’ve just written out a comment on an Announcement, only to realize that you’ve made a mistake and have delete it and start all over again. Well, good news! Now you don’t have to start from scratch each time you make a typo. Simply hover over the comment and click “Edit” to make any changes you need, at any time. We’ve made it super easy to correct or edit your message to make it more clear – without the need to retype and resend. We’re always doing what we can to save you more time – so use those extra seconds wisely, even if only for a nice, big deep breath.
We’ve created ClassTag to be a platform for all of your key communications with parents, and the importance of these messages can often go way beyond the current moment. We’ve recognized a need to have a record of your ClassTag communications log for each and every parent, so our newest update has launched the ability to download or export these conversations for later use.
Remember, it’s YOUR feedback that makes these incredible updates happen. Let us know how we’re doing and what we can do to improve your ClassTag experience. We’ve got even more great updates in the works and we’ll be sure to share them with you here once they launch. We hope you all have a wonderfully refreshing summer knowing that we are always here when you need us.
